Finance for Non-Finance Staff

INTRODUCTION

Finance plays a pivotal role in every organization, and it’s essential for non-finance managers to have a solid grasp of financial concepts and practices. This two-day training module is designed to provide non-finance professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and contribute effectively to their organization’s financial decision-making processes. Participants will gain confidence in interpreting financial data, making informed financial decisions, and communicating financial information within their teams.

  • Basics of budgeting and its significance
  • Creating and managing budgets

MODULE 4 : FINANCIAL DECISION MAKING

  • Capital budgeting and investment decisions
  • Cost analysis and break-even analysis
  • Evaluating project feasibility

MODULE 5 : FINANCIAL COMMUNICATION

  • Effective communication of financial information
  • Presenting financial data to non-finance stakeholders

MODULE 6 : FINANCIAL RISK MANAGEMENT

MODULE 7 : INVESTMENT & CAPITAL EXPENDITURE DFECISIONS

  • Evaluating investment opportunities (ROI, Payback Period, NPV)

MODULE 8 : BUSINESS FINANCING & FUNDING OPTIONS

  • Understanding business financing: Debt vs. Equity
  • Sources of funding (Bank loans, investors, grants)
  • How to prepare for business financing requests

MODULE 9 : FINANCIAL STRATEGIES FOR BUSINESS GROWTH

  • Pricing strategies & profitability
