INTRODUCTION

In today’s fast- paced, technical business environment world, words and numbers meant everything. So it is of utmost importance that we the users, are able to manage the produce professional documents as reports, emails and even proposals.

When you use a computer app to create, edit, and format text documents, you are performing a task known as word processing. Microsoft Word is one of the most sophisticated word-processing apps available. You can use Word to efficientlycreate a wide range of business and personal documents, from the simplest letter to the most complex report.

Word includes many desktop publishing features that you can use to enhance the appearance of documents so that they are visually appealing and easy to read. The elements that control the appearance of Word and the way you interact with it while you create documents are collectively referred to as the user interface.

Some user interface elements, such as the color scheme, are cosmetic. Others, such as toolbars, menus, and buttons, are functional. The default Word configuration and functionality is based on the way that most people work with the app. You can modify cosmetic and functional user interface elements to suit your preferences and working style..

MODULE 1 : MICROSOFT WORD (REVISION)

  • Working with documents
  • Editing texts and documents (short-cut keys)
  • Changing layout of a document
  • Working with tables

MODULE 2 : USE MAIL MERGE

  • Create a main document for Mail Merge
  • Create a recipient list
  • Insert Fields in the main document
  • Prepare an existing list for use with Mail Merge
  • Print/email a Mail Merge document
  • Create mailing labels

MODULE 3 : WORKING WITH FORMS AND FIELDS

  • Insert a field in a document
  • Insert a link to another document
  • Design and Create a simple form
  • Save a form as template
  • Protect a form from changes

MODULE 4 : WORKING WITH LARGE DOCUMENTS

  • Create a master document
  • Import a subdocument into a master document
  • Split one document into two documents
  • Create a table of contents for a document
  • Insert a footnote and endnote
  • Create a bookmark
  • Insert a cross-reference to a bookmark

MODULE 5 : MANAGING DOCUMENT REVISIONS AND COMMENTS

  • Enable revision tracking in a document
  • Accept or reject a revision
  • Protect a revision from modification by others
  • Compare two documents side by side
  • Combine two documents into one
  • Insert a comment in a document
  • Delete a comment from a document

 

METHODOLOGY

An adult learning approach using a combination of lectures and simulation, exercises, hands-on with close supervision by the trainers, presentation, management games & group discussions
